These days high pressure pumps are used. Pipes made up of copper,brass, plastic,or other nontoxic material are beneficial. The drains and vents a re usually made up of plastic, steel and cast iron. Lead is avoided as it is toxic in nature.
The basic straight equipments are the pipes and the tubes. Pipes usually have thicker walls while tubes are thin.Pipes are made via casting or welding where as tubes are made through extrusion.
Besides these simple ones, there are other equipments used like elbows, unions, valves, trees depending upon the requirement. These are usually used in huge and much more complicated designs like those of a factory etc.
The plumbing system or subsystem is majorly classified in the following categories: potable supply of hot and cold water, traps, drains, vents, Septic systems, Rainwater, surface, and subsurface water drainage, and Fuel gas piping.
These days plumbers use advanced technologies like hidden video cameras to detect the leaks and other defects at various places to make their work easier. Quality should be given prime importance while choosing different equipments for different places in the home otherwise this can create many problems.
Finally I had a clear picture of what I wanted. Plumbers were of a great help to me. They are highly talented people. They explained me everything I wanted to know. Now I also had a rough cost estimate in mind and am ready for the work to start.
