What is a reminder software?

Reminder software is like having a assistant who works for you all day long. Reminders software will help you to avoid problematic memory lapses, ensuring a easier and more productive worklife. Every reminder program can help you to scheduled meetings, taking prescribed pills, appointments, anniversaries, paying bills on time, favorite TV show, manage your ideas, and much, much more.

What type of reminder should I choose?

There are numerous reminder software packages on the market, some are free and some are not, but if you search a while you will find a reminder software package that will fit your needs. There are business reminders, appointments reminders, birthdays reminders and general reminders, but all are divided into three main categories :

Offline reminders

These types of reminders works like a desktop application only on one PC. The main problem is if you have two or many PC's or if you work in different location you don't get your messages. Examples: "Cutereminder(Standard Edition ($29.95), Secure reminder ($24.95).

Online reminders

These types of reminders are web base programs, meaning that you have a site where you put your messages. They are like portals that can be accesses from anywhere in the world were there is computer access. That means that you don't have to lug around a computer everywhere you go like with outlook and other organizing program. It's like a twitter account but the main disadvantage is that it must be openned in your browser (IE, Mozilla, Chrome) and login to your account to receive your messages. Examples of online reminders: memotome reminder, thereminder.

Online/offline reminder

These types of software reminders are very helpful especially for those who work with the computer in one or multiple locations because this reminders program has unique capabilities to be an offline/online application, and it will launch at Windows startup. You can choose from start between online or offline capabilities, depending on your internet connection. Example is "MEMO free reminder program"(freeware).

When a reminder program is executed it must be able to pop up on the date and time you have asked for with a persistent cuckoo, which will keep annoying you until you either click the 'Done' button, or the 'Change' button. You can either put the program in your Start Menu so that it will start up each time you log on to your computer, or just leave it on the desktop and start yourself at the beginning of each day.

Other capabilities of the reminders program:

1.Easy-to-use Intuitive and friendly interface concept 2.Unlimited number of messages/notes/idea 3.Pop-up and/or sound alarm/notification 4.Launch at Windows startup 5.System tray Icon access 6.Online capabilities for multiple PC's 7.Advanced notes/idea customization 8.Automatically server backup

You will have to use your own judgment about which of these reminders needs are best and which don't. Once you have started putting a first message on your schedule, you will find that not only are you more on top of your schedule but your mind will be more at ease.

Instead of worrying about what is coming up, or even what you should be doing, you'll just check your schedule and you will know for sure.
