Preparing Food for Craft Shows

Cooking has always been one of my favorite things to do. Besides the line of work I'm in, it's something else I'm good at. I've grown up in my mom's kitchen, looking at her cookbooks and listening to the sizzling sounds of saut?ing food and being familiar with the small accidents that sometimes happen.

One day, I was approached by an old officemate of mine who have since gone on to becoming an entrepreneur. Remembering how I once cooked for an office party, he asked me a favor. He basically pitched this idea where I should add some food to complement this booth that he wanted to set up in a fair. He had an idea about selling cold fruitshakes, which was fun and all. I was on break, so I decided to give it a shot.

Now, what do you pair with fruitshakes? Most will definitely work with fruitshakes, but is there anything that would work with them in particular? I browsed through the inherited cookbooks in my kitchen, and after a while got to thinking that I took on more than I could handle. Most of the food ideas in my head weren't a good idea for food stalls in a fair. And burgers, while a practical choice, was nothing too special.

Then I hit on an idea: The answer to my dilemma is something spicy! Something to complement my friend's fruitshakes. The original fallback plan was burgers and instead of going with that I decided to search for mom's old chili recipes. I found one and started preparing it. After that, I pushed the idea a bit more and developed the chiliburger!

But then, it would've been weird to have chiliburgers and fruitshakes in the same stall, though. So I approached my friend again and told him about an idea I had. Suppose he set me up with my own booth but still in close proximity to his? He liked the idea well enough, and soon I was talking to the event organizers to have my own booth.
