Those of you out there that want to generate traffic to your website, but are having trouble doing so this will be a great resource for you. Of all the web 2.0 variances out there probably the best way to get search engine traffic is through a blog.

This post is meant to give you the very basics of a blog. Within our eCourse that you can sign up to receive on the right hand side of the page we cover blogging and much, much more.

Why is a blog so key to getting free traffic and free leads?

The reason is it gives the search engines exactly what they are looking for. They want fresh and up to date content to provide their users. A blog does exactly that. If you update it regularly and have it set up properly it will be pinging various sites which are spidered by the search engine robots. So as you update it your pages will be found by the search engines quickly.

Here are a few keys to good blogging;
1. Pick a general topic and stick to that topic (internet marketing, your product, your company, etc.)
2. Post quality interesting posts that have personality in them
3. Be an expert on your topic
4. Write press releases that are newsworthy and link back to your blog
5. Encourage your readers to subscribe to your newsletter or RSS feed
6. Add yourself to http://www.MyBlogLog.com
7. Claim your blog on http://www.technorati.com
8. Add http://www.feedburner.com to your site
9. Add a signature to all emails with a link back to your blog

If you'd like to learn more about blogging and what specific program to use, how to use it and specific add-ons that work well to drive traffic to your blog please go to Magnetic Sponsoring Review and get in touch with me.
