Market trends are easy to spot after they have already run their course, but spotting a great career move is not as easy. One thing that is certain is the immense interest in the Green transition of business. It started years ago with the more radical fringe, but has now gone mainstream with a vengeance. There seems to be no business that is not trying to join the Green process, and yet where do thousands upon thousands of businesses turn for help?

Currently, those who are calling themselves Green Consultants are not trained or fully versed in the disciplines required for Green Business transition. Too often, Green Consultants promote isolated ideas such as solar energy, carbon credits, or window replacement. These ideas do not create a Green business because they do not cover the wide variety of issues needed for a certified Green business. The Green Business League offers the only trademark Green Consultant training in the U.S.

Each Green Consultant must attend a well-designed four day training program. There is a lot to learn in the area of Green business transition, and there is also a valuable business plan that will effectively launch your business in your community. Unless other businesses, training is not expensive, there is no recruiting, and no inventory to purchase. Yet, the income potential is easily six figures for those that faithfully follow the business plan. These classes are, however, limited in attendance and tend to fill up rapidly.

Going Green is not a simple task. Most people are quickly stunned by the depth of the issue and the variety of choices that must be made. There are pollution issues, health concerns, sustainability challenges, and conservation concerns to name a few major topics. The solution is not simple, and each business needs a plan that fits their operation and their budget. The first issue for business, however, is the health of the employees, and there are hundreds of options for improvement. The sheer depth of the subject is more than most businesses can handle, and amateurs generally provide poor solutions.

Businesses today want to be seen as Green, and the Green Business certification is a simple plan that is earned, not purchased. Using the monthly Green Management Guide, businesses can opt for their choice of several ideas that will increase the Green factor of their company. Each item implemented acquire points in a program that will eventually earn the Green Business certification. The goal is just 100 points, and represents a credible change in operation, and each company can decide which choices work best for their operation.
