Well, you took the plunge and ordered a security assessment done of your computer system for the business and oh boy were you ever shocked when the assessment came back. You didn't have a clue that there was anything wrong with your system. After all, the first time you had a security assessment done it came back that everything seemed to be fine.

There is something wrong with that scenario. Why are there two different results from the same kind of assessment? You didn't really think too much of the first assessment that said you were all safe and secure, as that, in your heart of hearts, was how you felt about your system.

Your computer system cost a fortune and you're shocked it has security holes in it. Then, after reading so many horror stories about compromised systems, you decided it was time to get a second security assessment done and to make sure they checked the network perimeter and do an external assessment along with a penetration test. The second check turned up bad news and you immediately ordered another check of the system.

It turns out that the router you use had been attacked and was diverting people to another fake website where they were using their personal information to access what they thought was "your" site.If you don't know what the term phishing is, we will give you an idea.

Phishing happens when an unsuspecting customer stumbles on a fake website and, because it looks authentic, enters their personal financial information and passwords.

Your personal information is used by hackers to steal identities, send a virus or compromise a computer system. The problem here is once your personal information is compromised, there is no way to get it back. Anyone who uses a computer system for their business that deals mainly with finances always needs to constantly check their system for problems.

Your system may not be as secure as you think it is due to the constant barrage of smart hackers trying to see if they are able to compromise computer systems for larger companies. Finding out your computer system is not secure is the worst thing that could ever happen to your business.

Always keep on top of your computer security, as it is the smart thing to do. In order to make sure your security assessment is a valid one, hire an investigations firm that knows what it is doing and has extensive hands-on experience in this area.
