25 per cent of the UK adult population are saying their financially out of control with a major number, around one million three hundred thousand people, admitting their finances are entirely unmanageable, a report by the insurer AXA says.

The insurer goes on to say that over a million UK residents have borrowed too much credit and are now struggling to keep up their repayments, with less than 4 million struggling to manage their credit card bills.

County Court Judgements CCJ's issued to the personal consumer has increased to their highest level since the beginning of 2007 and half a million home owners with mortgages where threatened with repossession or court action.

In England and Wales CCJs rose by 17.4 per cent year on year to 223,519, their highest level since the first quarter of 2007, according to figures published by the Registry Trust, the public interest company which manages the register of judgements, orders and fines on behalf of the Lord Chancellor. This represents an increase of 24.8 per cent from the second quarter of 2008.

Individuals entering into insolvency within the borders of England and Wales are on the up by nearly 9 per cent or just over twenty seven thousand in the 3rd part of 2008 compared with the previous quarter.

Bankruptcies and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) have increased 12 and 3 percent respectively.

The credit crunch could be blamed for the increase in corporate and personal insolvency throughout 2008, however, its patently obvious that further failures are going to be compounded by the recession throughout 2009.

It was hoped that the SIVA, planned for release in early 2009 would help with some of the debt burden, however, the Insolvency Service has just abandoned the concept.

Setting Up A Tickler File

In this lesson of the GTD Thirty Day Challenge we are going to talk about how to set up a tickler file, or specifically, how I set up my tickler file.

From what I can tell, David Allen is a big believer in the 43 folders tickler file. If you haven't seen a tickler file before, it is 12 folders for each month and 31 folders for each day. Right now it's January so I'd have my 31 folders behind January. As each day passes, I'd move the previous date behind February. Since today is the 21st for me. Folders for days 1-20 would now be behind the February tab.

How does this work? Let's say I got a bill today that I was due on February 3. Since it's important that I remember, I would put it in the February 3rd folder. When February 3 arrives, I would look in my tickler file and it reminds me to pay the bill.

I really do not like using 43 folders for my tickler file. For starters, it's hard to remember to check it every day. People then have to remember to check it and they'll start to ask themselves "how do I remember to check my tickler file?" The next reason is it is very bulky and not very portable. Finally, when you move the daily folders behind the next month, you have to remember to move the items in that months folders to the proper day.

For GTD, the tickler file set up is essential because you have to have a way to remind yourself of future actions. If you are a person who has tons of physical paper items then a foldered style tickler is the way you want to set it up. For me though, my work doesn't create many physical items and so I have a different method to setting up my tickler file to solve the above problems.

How To Set Up A Tickler File

The first thing to do is to create a plastic folder for your briefcase called "Waiting For" and put all the things you need to remember in the future in it.

After that, I would create a folder in my email setup called "Yahoo Reminders". If you look at my folder setup in my other article called How To Set Up Your GTD email, you can see how I have this set up. I then filter all of my Yahoo reminders into this folder and they bypass my inbox.

Finally, I use my Yahoo! calendar, to enter any item I need to remember and make it an "all day event" with an email reminder scheduled to be sent to me 2 days prior to when I need to do it. As a back up, I also have it text to me as well.

In the above example, the bill I got needed to be remembered on February 3rd. I enter the all day event on the third like "Pay very important bill" and by default it sends me an email reminder two days before it occurs. The actual physical bill goes into my "Waiting For" folder in my briefcase.

On February 1st, an email is sent ot me that reminds me I have to pay a bill on the third. The email bypasses my inbox and is filtered into my Yahoo reminder folder. As a backup, I get a text message too. Using text and email both gives me a backup in case I can't check my Yahoo reminders folder I then have a reminder sitting on my blackberry too. I review my reminders each day on my Blackberry and if I am at my computer, I review them too.

This setup is especially lightweight and extremely portable. It reminds me of everything so I do not have to remember to check. I also don't have to move stuff around in my tickler file. If you don't use email reminders, you really don't have any idea how valuable they can be. My suggestion is use them, even if you use the 43 folders as your tickler file. They will improve your GTD system 100%

That is my version of how to set up a tickler file for maximum effectiveness.

The majority of people would answer no to all three of those questions. In fact they may ask what a blueprint for someone's life would even involve, since it's something they've never even considered before. Most people live day to day, putting one foot in front of the other without giving any thought to who really is making the decisions in their life or how they ended up where they are.

That's why the top 3% of the people in the world have such a different life than the other 97%. They look at life differently and they make conscious choices.

Now so can you.

Creating a blueprint for the life of your dreams is not difficult to do when you know how or when you have someone to guide you through the process.

First you have to know your starting point. The next step is to evaluate how you feel about where you are.

You have a unique opportunity to choose differently every morning because you wake up every morning not knowing what the day will bring. There is an opportunity each day for an "aha" moment, in which to see yourself on a deeper level. There is also an opportunity on any given day to take your life in a whole different direction.

You are exactly where you are at this moment based on the choices that you continue to make. There is no such thing as "I have no choice, because..." That's an excuse.

You have lived life up to now creating stories from the facts of your life, creating scenarios with words like "I can't because", "____ made me" or "I had to because."

That's over now.

Every thought you have is a decision waiting to be made. Einstein's definition of insanity is to keep doing what you've always done expecting different results.

If you need help, get a friend to help sort out the facts from the story you've told yourself about your life. Let me warn you; it's not easy to be completely objective and do this on your own. Make a list of facts and a brief description of the story you've told yourself about why you are the way you are.

Afterwards look at what you learned about the stories you've told yourself. Do they still make sense or do they seem ridiculous now?

What limiting beliefs have you uncovered?

Write your own script of what you want your life story to be from now on. If you don't take on the job of being the writer and director in your life, someone else will.

So after you evaluate how you feel about where you are, take a look at what shifts you would like to make. Figure out what the end result is you are moving toward.

What do you really want your life to look like if there are no limits?

Once you've written your answer to that question, ask yourself what it's going to take to get you there. If you get stuck here, I can help you.

This is a good place to be. You are not quite there yet (your profits are not as big as you would like), but you are well on your way to become a truly successful trader.

You know that hot tips and intuition alone do not make you money, so you use indicators to tell you when it is the right time to buy and to sell. You study all you can about indicators, like charts, trends, volatility, ratios, etc.

This is fantastic! All those indicators will definitely help you make money. They are very useful tools and of course you should learn all about them, as long as you do not try to use them to predict the markets

One big mistake many traders make is to use methods like Elliott Wave and Fibonacci to predict how the market is going to behave. They will find that, no matter how accurate they feel their prediction is, they still lose more money than they would like.

Can you relate? There is nothing wrong in losing money (actually you have to feel comfortable losing money, but this is a subject for another article) and certainly there is nothing wrong in using indicators to help you make trading decisions. Pre-foreclosures - Locating the Ideal Neighborhood to Buy a Home

Many people are either losing their homes to foreclosure or walking away because it doesn't make sense for them to keep making expensive mortgage payments, when the house is worth less then the remaining mortgage. Currently 50% of home sales across the US are foreclosed homes. Although the real estate crisis is worrisome for homeowners, it is providing opportunities for families and investors.

Donald Trump is a great example of someone who was investing in real estate during a downturn in the market. Now look at him! "There are always opportunities", he is quoted as saying. "When I first started out in Manhattan, everyone was saying what a terrible market it was". He admits if he had listened to the nay Sayers he won't be were he is today.

Many of the top real estate investors, including Mr. Trump, now feel that this is currently a good time to invest in real estate by purchasing pre-foreclosed or foreclosed properties.

The great thing about buying a pre-foreclosed home is that you are dealing one-on-one with the owner and have a chance to ask questions and inspect the house. Since the bank has time to evaluate the property there is a higher probability of being granted a mortgage.

When looking to purchase a pre-foreclosure you also need to pay closer attention to the macro aspects (I'll cover micro aspects in a later article) of the property in order to limit your risk as much as possible. Some of these property macro aspects are:

- Look around the neighborhood to see how many homes are being foreclosed. It's best that the house you're considering for purchase is the only one facing foreclosure. Obviously the more homes in forced sale, the more likely the properties will depreciate.

- Ask around to find out what the average rate for rent is in the neighborhood and if it has changed lately. This will indicate if local housing demand is on the rise or not.

- How strong is the economy at the town and county levels? Is the current employment rate growing or stagnating?

- Contact the local government to find out about any upcoming infrastructure plans. Plans such as new building permits, train lines, shopping centers and corporations establishing a local presence, would be a good indication of community growth.

- Consider the age of the majority of the population within the community. If the majority of the local population is seniors that own homes, that could translate into an excess of future housing as they move into elderly care facilities.

If you do your homework and find the majority of these answers to portray a positive community, then you should consider buying in that area. Buying pre-foreclosed homes at the right time in the right place can prove to be a very profitable venture.

To make a passive income successfully online many people dive right in before they are properly prepared. You know that to be a scientist, a lawyer, a brick layer, a therapist, a construction worker, an office worker or a teacher there are prerequisites, preconditions. Before you can be successful, you don't just jump right in unprepared.

This exact same principle applies to the Internet marketing industry even though there are unscrupulous people out there who'd have you believe it's a "Walk in the Park" and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

Although, I'll have to admit, it is a walk in the park when compared to what you have to deal with in the working world punching a clock and being a subordinate to a person who does not have your best interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you absolutely must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

Most people will not make a penny online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that so?

My answer begins with the age-old chicken or egg question, "what comes first the chicken or the egg"? Personally I vote for, never mind... each argument you or I make comes back to the same old starting point - I have no clue and I don't think the vast majority of us do either.

But one thing I do have a hunch about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money. You must have a strong desire to succeed with the business area which you are promoting and marketing.

Passion in this sense simply means that you've researched and like the company and products or goods and services. It is only then that you transform that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and hard work that usually accompanies Passion.

I will have to say that there are many online entrepreneurs and Internet marketers are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I'm more concerned with those of you who are not so knowledgeable at working an online home business successfully.

Now, I'm not trying to make anyone believe that Passion is the only thing necessary. Because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, etc... no question about it. Those things are often learned from the company you join - but if you choose to sidestep the Passion then you significantly reduce your chances for success dramatically because it is the Passion that translates into the other things previously mentioned.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught. Why would you if you are not excited about it?

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble. You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, MAKE USE OF IT!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have good confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand and comprehend with great products, goods and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don't find it, then simply move on! I know you can find the right online opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I'll start that business and see where it takes me - does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" or mastermind does that, don't be fooled, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products, goods and services.

Note: By the way, it's your goal and aim to get to the point where you can sell just about anything online! A worthy goal to shoot for, indeed!

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don't first find the right company, products, goods and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate and excited about a company, its products, goods and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.
